ART IN THE GARDEN
The garden for us has always been an art form in itself, a piece of ‘fine art’ that is a work we will never complete.
We decided to add other art forms to our garden to reflect our love of music, poetry, painting and sculpture. To this end we have combined a variety of easily obtained statuary with one off commissioned pieces, a series of stained glass, wood carvings, hard landscaping and of course, our music. The evening lighting system adds another dimension to all the garden, high lighting some images whilst leaving dark areas of discovery or special areas for candle lighting.
Many of the pieces reflect something special in our lives from our beloved family with the wire sculptures of our parents, the poetry panel reflecting our daughters work, and our spaniels Edna, Norah and Martha to the simple pleasures of a day out.
